1 .Pakistan announced the successful training launch of the Medium Range Ballistic Missile, 
 
Hatf V (Ghauri) which can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads to a distance of 1,300
 
 km.
 
 
2. Mr. Ratan Tata was awarded an honorary doctorate of business from the University of New 
 
South Wales.
 
 
 
3.President Mahmoud Abbas submitted the request for upgrading the rank from an observer to
 
 a non-member observer before the U.N. General Assembly. General Assembly voted 
 
emphatically to welcome Palestine as an observer

4.The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will raise the cap on annual supply of subsidised 
 
cooking gas (LPG) to 9cylinders per household provided the Finance Ministry agrees to give

such proposal because Model Code of Conduct is in force in Gujarat.
